A Time to Prepare
General Conference Prep 
April 1-7 2013

Everyday this week: Media Fast. No recreational internet, phone, or TV use. Only listen to church music. Pray morning and night.

Monday: Find on lds.org and read “A Time to Prepare”, a talk given by Ian S. Ardern October 2011. Meet for a devotional at Jakelle’s grave at 5, at the Mountain View Cemetary.

Tuesday: Find on lds.org and read “What Thinks Christ of Me?”, a talk given by Neil L. Anderson October 2012. Meet at the Mesa Temple Vistor Center to watch an inspirational movie at 7.

Wednesday: Read “Mathew 7:7”, Write down any questions you want answered, and fast for two meals to be able to find the answers as you watch conference. 

Thursday: Read Hymn 5 “High on a Mountain Top”and Hymn 131 “More Holiness Give Me”. Find a time to do baptisms for the dead or a session at the temple. Share your testimony with a person in need.

Friday: Read Mosiah 2, where the people pitched their tent TOWARD the temple to listen to the prophet’s word. Read the chapter and look for ways to turn your heart and mind to the Savior in preparation to hear the prophets’ voice. Come to Hole in the Rock at Papago Park (Search in google for directions) at 7:30 A.M. for a devotional. Go to bed by 10:00 P.M.

Saturday: Wake up by 8 and get yourself ready physically, mentally, and spiritually. Say a personal prayer to have the Spirit with you as you listen to the prophet and search for answers. Watch general conference with friends and family and take notes during every session.

Sunday: Wake up by 8 and get yourself ready physically, mentally, and spiritually. Watch both sessions of conference in church clothes to add reverence. Take notes and talk about what you learned with family and friends.
